Old Buildings and Hutongs (Photos) - Beijing

This morning I ventured to Tienanmen Square and the area surrounding the Forbidden City. It was my first trip to a major tourist destination since arriving in Beijing. I visited this area in the middle of the winter back in 2002. Things have certainly changed a lot, especially the level of security.

I checked out the square and took a lot of video. A photo blog post as well as a YouTube video will come soon about that.

On the east side of the Forbidden City is an old and interesting neighborhood. Enjoy some of the photos I took there.
